We are proud to announce that the Jenks concert bands will be traveling again this spring semester!
The Wind Symphony was accepted to perform at Carengie Hall and will be traveling to New York City, and the Symphonic & Concert Bands will be performing in a national concert band festival and will be traveling to Chicago!
Dates for spring travel are the following:
NYC - March 2-8
Chicago - April 14-18
In addition to the performances, both trips will include many incredible excusions, fantastic meals, sight-seeing opportunites and lifetime memories!
We will be chartering buses for trips. Other details including times, lodging, and all itinerary items are still being considered and worked out. As information is provided and finalized, details will be updated for students and families to best prepare for the trip.
Opt In/Opt Out Forms were given out to students on Tuesday, September 22nd. Forms are to be submitted on or before Wednesday, September 30th. It should be noted that any student who is ineligible will not be allowed to travel on the spring trip. Students should make sure and keep their grades up and avoid this situation. Only a few select parents will be traveling as chaperones with the groups on both trips. 8-10 for the NYC trip and 15-20 for the Chicago trip. In an effort to keep individual student and famlies cost down, it will be necessary for chaperones that participate to pay on each of these trips. Cost will be determined soon and be at discounted rate.
