BOA - Super-Regional, St. Louis

Bands Of America Marching Championships

The Trojan Pride has a rich history of competing in BOA Marching Events. The Trojan Pride has been a consistent Regional and Super-Regional finalist since 2002, as well as a Grand National Semi-Finalist. This year the band will return to Grand Nationals in Indianapolis as well as the Super-Regional Marching Contest in St. Louis.

We are proud to annouce that the Trojan Pride will be returning to the Super-Regional Contest and marks the 9th year to compete at "The Dome at America's Center" held in St. Louis. 2011 marked the first year that the Trojan Pride ever made finals at a BOA Super-Regional. Since then the Trojan Pride has made finals every year, ranging from 13th to 7th place. The Trojan Pride looks to extend their streak and improve on finals placement, overall score, as well as prepare for contests later in the season. A general itinerary for this trip is posted below. The performance time in preliminary competition for the Trojan Pride is slotted for Saturday afternoon between 1:30 and 3:45.

General Trip Itinerary

Monday & Tuesday are regular school rehearsals
Wednesday - OSSAA Regional Marching Contest - Tahlequah, OK 
Thursday - Early Luggage Check In. Morning rehearsal. Load and depart around lunch time. Dinner. Hotel Check In - Four Points by Sheraton in Fairview Heights, Ill.
Friday  - morning rehearsal. Lunch. Watch bands the majority of the day. Dinner.
Saturday - breakfast, light music and body practice, lunch. Prelim performance. Awards ceremony. Finals. Hotel.
Sunday - breakfast, depart for Jenks, arrival mid-afternoon.

Complete and detailed itinerary will be provided in early October.

Payment Schedule

Payments begin in June and continue through September. *Final trip cost will be calculated following the trip and trip balance will be adjusted to reflect any difference between payments and actual amounts. Each payment listed in the Opt In contract will be required to be in full and on time in order for students to participate in summer rehearsals, pre-band, and school rehearsals. Students and parents should be thoroughly familiar with the Trip Fund and High School Band Handbook Policies.

Mandatory Band Parent Meeting

The mandatory band parent meeting for the St. Louis Trip is scheduled for Thursday, October 4th, 7:00 PM in the High School Math & Science Center, 3rd Floor Presentation Hall. Parents will be required to sign in upon arrival.

Chaperone Information

Parents wishing to serve as chaperones for overnight trips will be required to go through the application process with the Jenks Band Parents Organization. Information, applications, and deadlines will be available at the end of the school year/beginning of the summer.
