Letter Points

The fifth posting of letter points is now available HERE. Letter points currently include summer camps, concert attendance, performances, NCDA Auditions, OMEA First Round Auditions, OMEA Final Round Auditions, basketball band, contest workers for MS Solo & Ensemble Contest, the Musical, HS District Solo & Ensemble Contest, contest workers for State Band Contests, and State Solo & Ensemble Contest

NASA - 20 points were awarded to students who participated at this conference. Points were added to the "camps" category. 

OKPAS - 20 points were awarded to students who participated at this conference. Points were added to the "camps" category. 

State Band Contest Workers - 20 points were awarded to students who worked the 5A or 6A State Concert Band Contest. 

State Solo & Ensemble Contest - 20 points were awarded to students receiving a superior rating on their solo, 15 for an excellent rating, and 10 for an average rating. 15 points were awarded to students receiving a superior rating with their ensemble, 10 points for an excellent rating, and 5 for an average rating. 

It is time to begin finalizing letter points. The deadline for all documentation is Tuesday, May 2nd, 3:00 PM. Verification for performing organizations (Tulsa Youth Symphony, Church Orchestra, etc.) and private lessons are due by the deadline. For performing organizations - a concert program or other type of documentation showing the roster of the group will count as proper documentation. For private lessons - a letter or email from your private lesson teacher verifying that you have taken lessons for the majority of the year will count as proper documentation. Students may continue to accumulate points through concert attendance and performances with outside groups until the May 2nd deadline.

Letters and bars will be awarded to students at the Band Banquet on Friday, May 5th. The final posting of letter points will be published on the website after the Band Banquet.
