Introducing Mr. Ryan Gartner

The Jenks Trojan Pride is proud to introduce and welcome to a part of the band staff, Mr. Ryan Gartner.

Mr. Gartner will begin his teaching career at Jenks High School.  His responsibilities will include conducting the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble, teaching beginning brass classes at East and West Intermediate, as well as assisting with the Trojan Pride Marching Band.

A graduate of Owasso High School, Mr. Gartner continued his education at Oklahoma State University, earning his Bachelor of Music Education from Oklahoma State University in 2009.  During that time he was awarded the Bohumil Makovsky Outstanding Freshman Award and was named a Presser Scholar.  Futhering his education, he received his Master of Music in Wind Conducting at Oklahoma State University in 2012 while serving as a graduate assistant to the band department.

An avid supporter of chamber music, Mr. Gartner has performed and competed extensively in many venues in America and Japan.  He also maintains an active teaching studio, where many of his students have made regional, state, and university ensembles.
