Bond Issue Results

Jenks Band Community,

Thank you for your support. The Jenks Public School Bond Issue passed with 61% of the vote. State law requires for school bonds to be passed by a supermajority of 60%. Out of nearly 3200 votes, the bond passed by a mere 50 votes.

Now the band will be able to purchase 90 additional marching band uniforms and be able to properly fit every student as the group grows in size the next few years. Also included in the proposal were concert band instruments that will be used at both the high school and middle school. Instruments included are oboes, bassoons, french horns, euphoniums, tubas, timpani, bells, marimbas, gongs, snares, and hardware to mount percussion instruments.
